Manage your thoughts and emotions with Tapping.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) incorporates tapping on the ends of the meridians (energy pathways) on the face, hands, and body to decrease and release stress and overwhelm around recent or past events, distressing emotions, and negative thoughts and beliefs.
Gary Craig, a Stanford Engineer, created EFT out of TFT (Thought Field Therapy), which he studied under psychologist Dr. Roger Callahan.
Roger Callahan first discovered TFT when he attempted to help his client “Mary” with her water phobias in the 1980s. She would visit him at his home office, where she had to walk by his pool, terrified. Mary would complain about this “pit in her stomach” whenever she was around water or even looking at it. Talk therapy hadn’t gotten them anywhere with her water phobia. It occurred to Roger to have her tap on the stomach point. Dr. Callahan decided to experiment with her by having her tap underneath her eyes on the stomach meridian points. At the same time, she thought about the pool or other water sources like the shower. To his surprise, it worked!
When he followed up with her years later, her water phobias were gone, and they never returned. From there, Dr. Callahan created TFT, which included tapping algorithms for various emotional situations and traumatic events. Gary Craig then simplified these algorithms into one tapping sequence, what is now called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).
Tapping includes both EFT and TFT and a variety of other techniques that include tapping, or some variation of tapping, on the body along the meridians and chakras.
Tapping helps address countless negative emotions and feelings.
Trauma and PTSD can have lasting effects, keeping a person on guard and hyper-alert long past when the event occurred. When certain situations arise, they can trigger those traumatic experiences again. Tapping offers a solution that allows the person to release those feelings from past traumas.
Similarly, tapping helps treat other emotional stressors such as anxiety, depression, and grief.
Tapping helps clients find balance by reducing and often eliminating feelings of fear, anger, guilt, shame, embarrassment, and negativity. Helping clients to return to wholeness.
Tapping can also help relieve the emotional aspects of physical pain, reducing compulsive behaviors and cravings – specifically sugar cravings.

Due to its flexibility and effectiveness with various issues, tapping is one of my favorite mind-body modalities to use with my clients.
For many clients, tapping offers an alternative to other treatment modalities. Through tapping, you can address regions of the brain associated with stress, allowing you to restore balance.
Don’t let stress over your life circumstances keep you from moving forward. Through tapping and EFT, we can help you regain the mental, physical, and emotional energy to move past what has kept you stuck.
